These solenoid valves are suitable for non-aggressive
liquid and gaseous media that are compatible with the construction
materials used in the valves.Maximum admissible viscosity:5°E (37
cStokes or mm2/s).Minimum ambient temperature:–10°C;maximum
ambient temperature:60°C with class “A”or “F”coils, 80°C with class “H”
coils. The minimum and maximum temperatures of the medium are shown in
the table, according to the type of valve concerned. N.B.: at very low
ambient temperature, the medium can solidify and damage the solenoid
valve.
MATERIALS
Body in OT58 brass, generally with female G threaded ports, (ISO228).Internal
parts and guide tube in stainless steel.Seals according to application:NBR
(nitrile-butylene elastomer), FPM (fluorocarbon elastomer), PTFE (reinforced
polytetrafluorethylene), EPDM(ethylene-propylene elastomer), INOX (stainless
steel), RUB (synthetic corundum on stainless steel).
COILS
Comply with EC standards, directive 73/23CEE and relative modification
93/68EEC.Coils wound with class “H”wire, vacuum impregnated with
polyester resin.Class “F”insulation (155°C) encapsulated in glass fiber
reinforced PBT (polybutylene-terephtalate) or class “H”insulation
(180°C) encapsulated in glass fiber reinforced PPS (polyphenylsulphide),
or class “A”(105°C) for latching versions in PP-VO (self-extinguishing
polypropylene).
Standard electrical connections (2 poles plus earth) for type
Z1-Z5-Z6-Z8-Z9 coils and DIN 43650 connections for Z1-Z5-Z9.Also
suitable for 6.3x0,8, except for Z0 type designed for 2,8x0,5, quick
connectors or for micro plug connectors.Protection class IP65
EN60529(DIN43650) with coil duly fitted with the plug connector. With the
exception of certain versions, all the coils have obtained SEV-ASE (Swiss)
approval and are suitable for continuous duty (ED100%).
VOLTAGES
Standard:24-110-220-230V/50Hz AC and 12-24VDC.Other voltages and
frequencies supplied on request subject to minimum quantities. Voltage
tolerances:+10%-15%for AC;+10% –5% for DC.Standard voltage for latching
versions:6-12V DC;tolerance:±10%.
FLOW RATE
The flow factor Kv of each valve is indicated, so that the flow Q can be
calculated as a function of the pressure drop Dp
(see chart or formula). The Kv represents the flow of water, expressed
in m3/h, at a temperature between 5°C and 30°C, that passes
through the solenoid valve with a pressure drop of 1 bar (Standard VDI/VDE2173).
RESPONSE TIME
The time requested to pass from fully open to fully closed or vice-versa
is a function of the size of the orifice, the operating system, the
voltage value, the type of medium, the relative pressure and temperature
and the pressure drop (Dp).Depending on the
diameter of the orifice, the response time is about few tens of
milliseconds for direct acting valves and hundreds or thousands of
milliseconds for pilot-operated or forced lifting (zero pressure) valves.
USEFUL LIFE
The useful life of the solenoid valve is influenced by the pressure,
temperature, type of medium and the voltage.Generally speaking, these
solenoid valves are reliable for more than 2 million cycles and, in
clearly defined cases and with special treatments, for a much larger
number of operations.
OPTIONS
On request, solenoid valves can be supplied for special applications to
different designs and with different materials or performances. On
request and subject to minimum quantities, the following can be supplied:different
seals, nickel-plated (Ni-P) brass bodies or PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene)
coated bodies and general features complying with BGA-FDA-NSF standards,
other types of connections (NPT, male etc.), coils with flying
leads. Also available with domestic approval (IMQ) and international
approvals (UL, VDE, WRC etc.).
HOW TO ORDER
Always use the complete code, followed by the port size (G) and the
orifice diameter in mm. Specify the voltage and relative frequency for
AC (e.g.L177B04-Z610A1/8”x1,6V220/50-60Hz).
