Example: which valve is needed to get 0,06 m3/h water flow with free exhaust and pressure drop of 5,5 mH2O?

Solution: consulting the chart, start from p = 5,5 on the abscissa and Q = 0,06 on the ordinate, the point of intersection is on the line Kv = 0,08. Thus, the valve must have a Kv = 0,08.


Q  = flow rate in m3/h
Dp = pressure drop in mH2O
Kv = flow factor
